Designation: Accountant
Location: Nashik
Purpose of the Role
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and supporting management with timely financial information.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Maintain books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and vouchers
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions accurately and timely
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records
- Reconcile bank statements, cash, and ledgers on a regular basis
Statutory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements
- Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities
- Assist during internal and external audits
Payments & Receivables
- Process vendor payments as per approved payment memos
- Monitor receivables and outstanding amounts
- Follow up for recoveries and pending payments, as required
- Ensure payments are made only after proper approvals and supporting documents
Payroll & HR Coordination
- Assist in salary processing in coordination with HR
- Ensure statutory deductions and compliance related to PF, ESIC, PT, etc.
- Maintain payroll-related records confidentially
Reporting & Controls
- Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries for management
- Highlight discrepancies, risks, or irregularities to seniors immediately
- Support management in budgeting and financial planning
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and policies
Authority & Accountability
- Responsible for accuracy and integrity of accounting data
- Accountable for timely compliance and reporting
- Any negligence, misreporting, or deviation from procedures may attract disciplinary action as per company policy
Qualifications & Skills
- B.Com / M.Com /MBA Finance
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and statutory laws
- Proficiency in Tally / accounting software, MS Excel
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
